Our Story

Since we started the brand, my sister and I have had countless questions around how it started and what motivated us…

Thanks to our parents we both understood the benefits and enjoyment from a healthy lifestyle. I took up training in a local gym that I worked at and Andrea focussed a lot on classes (HIIT, pilates etc.). The fitness centres we trained at were a good hub to also engage with people on a social level. It was like a community where we would encourage people to push themselves or simply to be there to talk or listen. A huge driver for us working out was the well-being (holistic health) and looking after yourself not just through exercise but through healthy diet and to be open about how you feel emotionally and mentally.

In October 2020, we set out to start a clothing brand. Our mission; to provide premium sportswear clothing at affordable prices. Coming from Scotland, we both live up to the stereotype of gravitating to value for money and wanted to be in a position to pass this onto customers. We also wanted clothing that was completely different and not already existing in the market that truly escaped the ordinary. You'll notice a lot of our designs use Celtic prints, so keep an eye out for these in our product range.

As a brother and sister duo passionate about mental and physical health, Fallain (Scots Gaelic for 'healthy') was born!

We officially launched in October 2021 with our first website that included the Tusail (Scots Gaelic for ‘Original’) collection. As a new brand in a highly competitive space, I decided to take the leap of faith and quit my full-time job as a logistics manager in January 2022 and go all in. Yes, it took a lot of convincing to friends and family that this was a smart decision at the height of the pandemic.

Along the way of working on the brand we’ve met some amazing people. One definitely worth a mention is Lily who has created every one of our products and brought the design concepts to life. In August 2023 we brought Lily on board as a permanent member of the team and now works as our Creative Director.

Fast forward to now and the brand has grown from strength to strength. One of the pillars of our business is the community we want to build around the brand. We recently won activewear brand of the year in the Scottish Health & Fitness Awards which is a real testament to what we’re doing. We believe in giving back and helping those less fortunate, in 2023 we donated a significant sum to Shelter who provide refuge, hope and support to those in need.

So, what’s next? We’re currently working hard to bring a women’s wear range in 2024 whilst also continuing to work hard on expanding our existing men’s range. We’re absolutely passionate about what we do and bringing products to our community that you want and need. I’d personally love to hear if you have any suggestions or comments about what you would like to see, your feedback is everything to what we’re trying to achieve at Fallain Fitness.

Many thanks for taking the time to read our story.
